Adrian Newey says there’s still “room for improvement” under current F1 regulations, as he reveals “there’s one feature” on Red Bull’s car that he’s “not terribly happy with this year”.

At the Miami Grand Prix, Red Bull’s outgoing Chief Technical Officer Adrian Newey was asked if there’s still more time to be unlocked under current F1 regulations.

The legendary designer believes there is, and reveals he is not completely satisfied with Red Bull’s current car.

“Yeah, I mean, there’s always room for improvement,” Newey said.

“The fundamental architecture of the car has remained the same, but I mean, for instance, there’s one feature on the car that I’m not terribly happy with this year.

“And that’s something which will either change later in the year, or probably more likely, will be re-altered for next year,” the Briton concluded.
