Fernando Alonso says it is ‘not his problem’ if Lewis Hamilton got ‘frustrated’ by being stuck behind him, but Lewis says he did not “find it frustrating”.
During the Monaco Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton spent most of his time stuck behind, first Esteban Ocon, and then his team-mate Fernando Alonso.
Both drivers were much slower than Lewis, but due to the difficulty of overtaking in Monaco, it was impossible for the Briton to get ahead.
When it was put to Alonso that Lewis might have found it frustrating to be stuck behind him, he replied: “Not my problem”.
The Spaniard then said it was “extremely easy” to keep Lewis behind, because of the characteristics of the Monaco track.

Lewis however said he did not find it frustrating, as it was to be expected in Monaco.
“It definitely didn’t help being stuck behind both of them,” Hamilton told Sky Sports.
“Honestly, I didn’t find it frustrating. It is what you expect around here in Monaco.
“I knew once I qualified behind one of them that it would be like that,” the Briton concluded.
