Anthony Joshua supports Lewis Hamilton after Piquet’s racial slur

Ahead of his heavyweight title match with Oleksandr Usyk this August, Anthony Joshua gave his comments on Nelson Piquet’s racist remarks toward Lewis Hamilton.

After three-time Formula 1 champion Nelson Piquet used a racial slur when referring to Lewis Hamilton, boxing legend Anthony Joshua came out in support of his fellow Briton.

“It can happen to anyone, your son or your brother or your nephew – not just Lewis Hamilton,” Joshua told The Sun.

“Imagine what it’s like for ordinary people who hear it.

“That’s where it’s really upsetting and that’s why people start rallying and marching because it’s the people who are vulnerable that need to come together against these things.

“But things are changing – definitely – because people need to understand and explore other people’s cultures.

“Schools that teach kids about religion should also teach about culture – it’s all about education,” Joshua concluded.
