Recently Toto Wolff said he believes Mercedes’ Formula E drivers Stoffel Vandoorne and Nyck de Vries “deserve to be Formula 1”. Valtteri Bottas is not concerned.
It is still unknown who will drive for Mercedes in 2022 alongside Lewis Hamilton. The two main candidates are, as Toto Wolff has confirmed, Valtteri Bottas and George Russell.
However, at a recent Formula E race, Wolff said that he hopes Stoffel Vandoorne and Nyck de Vries will find their way to Formula 1.
When Valtteri Bottas was relayed those comments, he remained unconcerned.

“I am not aware of those sayings,” the Finn said.
“I don’t really read F1 related media reports so it is the first time I hear anything like that.
“Of course, you will always try to praise your drivers, whether it is in different categories and they are very good drivers.
“There are not many seats in F1 but it is not really my concern at the moment and is nothing that is on my mind,” concluded Bottas.
