Mercedes has notified the FIA that they intend to take their appeal over the controversial Safety Car procedures to FIA’s International Court of Appeal.

After the stewards dismissed Mercedes’ protests over the controversial end of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, the team has formally lodged an intention to appeal.

“We have lodged notice of intention to appeal the decision of the Stewards under Article 15 of the Sporting Code and Article 10 of the Judicial and Disciplinary Rules,” said a Mercedes spokesperson.
