Red Bull team boss Christian Horner has decided to take a dig at Toto Wolff, for saying that Mercedes held talks with Max Verstappen during the summer break.
Ahead of the Dutch Grand Prix, Toto Wolff said that Mercedes held talks with Max Verstappen, over his possible move to the team.
When asked about this, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner said his team only needs to keep delivering, and Verstappen will remain with them.
“It’s down to us to deliver,” the Briton said.
“We have an agreement until 2028. 2028 is a long way away. It’s down to us to provide a race winning car.

“Every contract has a performance element in it. We won’t talk about those elements, but as long as we have a competitive car, we know what the situation is.”
He then took a jab at Wolff for Mercedes’ performance at the Dutch Grand Prix.
“I didn’t see Toto’s car performing that well today,” he said with a smile.
