After the Dutch Grand Prix, Ferrari’s team boss Mattia Binotto says “it is not only Red Bull that’s fast, Mercedes is ahead of us on race pace”.
At the Dutch Grand Prix, Mercedes probably had their best performance of 2022. Not only were they almost in contention to beat Red Bull and win the race, but they also completely bested Ferrari.
Mattia Binotto was asked if Ferrari’s competition has improved, or did the team take a step backwards.
“Honestly, I don’t know right now,” the Italian said.

“These are answers I don’t have. It is not only Red Bull that’s fast, Mercedes is ahead of us on race pace.
“So maybe it is more ourselves that have gone backwards. The reason why? Something we need to look at.
“It is three races we have not performed on a Sunday like we should and no doubt, it is not only Red Bull but also Mercedes that is faster than us,” Binotto concluded.
