Ferrari’s team boss Frederic Vasseur says some critics have been saying George Russell is “faster” than Lewis Hamilton, but “at the moment [Lewis] is the one who has brought the most points to Mercedes”.
The Formula 1 world was shocked when it was announced that Lewis Hamilton will be ending his tenure at Mercedes in 2024, to join Ferrari in 2025.
Since then, many have praised the new partnership, but there have also been those who criticised the move.
In an interview with Sky Italia, Ferrari’s team boss Frederic Vasseur answered the critics who suggest that Lewis is not as good as he once was.

“We know the positive aspects of Lewis’ arrival, such as his great experience,” the Frenchman said.
“Everyone since the start of the season says [George] Russell is faster than him, but at the moment he is the one who has brought the most points to Mercedes.
“So in terms of efficiency, I think it’s a good point of reference,” Vasseur concluded.
