In a video released by Mercedes, Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas asked each other questions, and one of those had to do with Toto Wolff being angry.

During the chat Bottas asked Hamilton when did he see Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff at his angriest?

The Briton said it was during the time when he clashed with his team-mate Nico Rosberg in their fight for the world championship. Some of those clashes ended with them taking each other out of the race.

One such occasion was the 2016 Spanish Grand Prix when both drivers ended in the gravel trap.

“The angriest I’ve ever seen Toto is probably…it would have been one of the times Nico and I crashed into each other. Barcelona’s probably the angriest he ever got.”

Bottas then asked Hamilton if their boss was “fuming”?

“Yeah…well, yeah. I definitely saw bald patches. I think he pulled out parts of his hair and had to get turf to grow it back!”

When Lewis asked Valtteri the same question, the Finn recalled the infamous 2019 German Grand Prix, when the team was celebrating Mercedes’ 200th race in Formula 1. To celebrate the whole team was dressed in retro outfits, while the W10 had a special retro livery.

However, the celebration stopped after the race. The grand prix ended with Hamilton in P11 and Bottas in the gravel trap. Ultimately Hamilton was moved to P9 and scored one point, as both Alfa Romeo drivers were penalized after the race.

“I think he wasn’t so happy in Germany 2019. We didn’t get any points for the team. When I crashed, yeah, I was on to get at least some points and I shunted.

“We were all wearing these special outfits and then I remember him sort of saying after the race that’s the last time we’re gonna play carnival at a race weekend,” concluded Bottas.
