While reviewing the 2022 F1 season, Lewis Hamilton asked George Russell if he has “learned through the year to just hate the car?”

Throughout the 2022 season, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell have struggled with the Mercedes W13.

The most problematic thing they had to face was the ‘porpoising’ or ‘bouncing’, which caused a lot of physical issues for them.

In a season review video, while commenting on a photo of himself nursing his back after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Hamilton asked Russell if he too sometimes hated the car.

“Have you learned through the year to just hate the car?” he asked.

“There were definitely moments where you just hated the damn thing because it wouldn’t do what you wanted it to do,” Lewis continued.

“And the bouncing around – you just got sick and tired of the bouncing,” the Briton concluded.

George agreed that it was very hard to handle the bouncing.

“There was a time when I didn’t remember what it was like to drive a car that didn’t bounce,” Russell said.

“I think the first race we did, it might have been Barcelona, that was the first time that we had no bouncing.

“I was like, what is this?” he concluded.
