After scoring his 90th career win at the Tuscan Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton could match Michael Schumacher’s 91 career wins record at the next race!
The British driver is poised to smash most of Schumacher’s records by the end of the 2020 season, including matching his unreal seven world titles record.
But Hamilton could also match the second most important F1 record, that for most career wins, at the very next race. The Briton was asked what equalling the record means to him.
“It just doesn’t seem real,” Hamilton said.
“It’s ultimately a privilege to be in a position and have such a great team and a car to be able to deliver weekend in, weekend out but I just feel forever grateful to the people that continue to work hard, I’m just a link in the chain.
“But I never thought that I would be here, that’s for sure,” concluded the six-time champion.
