Max Verstappen has blasted Lewis Hamilton for hindering him in Emilia Romagna Grand Prix FP2. Lewis says he “tried to apologise” to Max, but “he was already too frustrated”.

At one point in the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Free Practice 2, while Max Verstappen was doing a fast lap on soft tyres, Lewis Hamilton got in his way and hindered him.

Afterwards, Verstappen said it wasn’t the “first time  that Lewis did that.

“It’s just not the first time,” Max said.

“You try to of course always stay calm about it, but yes, it happened again at the other end also.

“I don’t want to really talk about it too much because that’s not our issue,” the Dutch driver concluded.

Lewis, on the other hand, admitted he was at fault and said he “tried to apologize”.

“Geez, I was on a cooldown lap,” the Briton said.

“I thought I was well clear, would have been well clear. But all of a sudden he was like right on me and ultimately it was my mistake and I tried to apologise.

“He was already too frustrated,” Hamilton concluded.
