Lewis Hamilton gave his thoughts on Max Verstappen’s profanity-laden rants over the team radio, and adds he and Max did not discuss their Hungarian Grand Prix collision.
After the Hungarian Grand Prix, many observers have criticized Max Verstappen for his profanity-laden rants aimed at his team and race engineer.
When asked about this, Lewis Hamilton said a world champion should act differently.
“You have to be a team leader, a team member,” the Briton said.
“Maybe not so much a team leader but more so just always remember you are a teammate with lots of people and you have to act like a world champion.”
Asked what it means to ‘act like a world champion’, Lewis laughed and said:
“That’s a good question. Not like it was last weekend.”

The Briton was also asked if he and Max had a talk about their collision, after Max said they’ll “talk later”.
“We didn’t talk afterwards,” Lewis explained.
“We went to the stewards and that’s it. Yeah we’ve not had a talk. I don’t know if we will, if we get time.
“Maybe we’ll talk in the [drivers’] parade this weekend, maybe. I’ve not felt like there’s necessarily a need to, but there might be something he wants to say.
“But we didn’t get the time to do it,” Hamilton concluded.
