Hamilton to produce a Brad Pitt led F1 movie by Top Gun 2 director

It has been revealed that Lewis Hamilton will produce a long rumoured Apple Studios Formula 1 movie, which will feature Brad Pitt and be directed by Joseph Kosinski.

There has been a lot of talk recently about Lewis Hamilton being involved in a new Formula 1 movie with Brad Pitt in the starring role.

Well, it has now been reported that Lewis would be involved as a producer, while the movie would be directed by ‘Top Gun: Maverick’ director Joseph Kosinski.

In the movie Brad Pitt is set to portray an aging driver who comes out of retirement to mentor a younger driver, but also to take his final stab at glory in Formula 1.

Earlier this year it has been reported that Apple Studios had acquired the rights to the script that was written by Ehren Kruger, with famous producer Jerry Bruckheimer also attached.

It’s interesting to note that the late director of the original ‘Top Gun’ movie, Tony Scott, also went on to direct a racing move – 1991’s ‘Days of Thunder’, which focused on NASCAR.
