Rumours came out regarding the details of Lewis Hamilton’s contract negotiations. The Briton fires a warning shot to his competition.

Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luigi Perna wrote in the paper’s Friday edition that Lewis Hamilton is “at an advanced stage” of contract extension negotiations with Mercedes.

“Lewis Hamilton is in discussion with Mercedes over the renewal of his contract,” Perna wrote.

“The negotiation, which will see Hamilton extend his stay until the end of 2022, is at an advanced stage and is worth in the region of 45m Euros a year with bonuses.”

In the meantime Lewis Hamilton posted a photo of his home on social media and sent out a message to his rivals.

“I am at peace when I’m here, can focus and build my mind and body so that I can come back year on year,” wrote Hamilton.

“I’m going to be a machine this year, on another level than ever before!

“Spread love and positivity everywhere we go.”
