Red Bull’s advisor Dr Helmut Marko says Lewis Hamilton’s move to Ferrari “is the best thing that could have happened to Formula 1 at the moment”, and adds Lewis will be stronger than Charles Leclerc.
The Formula 1 world is still in shock over the news that Lewis Hamilton will move to Ferrari in 2025.
Interestingly, when asked about this, Red Bull’s advisor Dr Helmut Marko said this is the best development in Formula 1.
“This is the best thing that could have happened to Formula 1 at the moment,” the Austrian said.
“There are two reasons for it: the fascination with Ferrari and that Hamilton no longer has confidence in Mercedes.

“I think this transfer will strain the friendly relationship between Wolff and [Ferrari team boss] Fred Vasseur. Wolff has actually always promoted Vasseur in Formula 2, and now this.”
As for the balance of power between Hamilton and his Ferrari team-mate Charles Leclerc, Marko believes the Briton will be the dominant one in the team.
“Leclerc has an advantage when it comes to one lap. Hamilton, however, is stronger over a full year and will assert himself politically as Ferrari’s global superstar,” he concluded.
