Christian Horner says “it’s great” that “the most successful driver in Formula 1’s history” Lewis Hamilton will remain in Formula 1 until at least the end of 2025.
On Thursday, Mercedes announced that Lewis Hamilton will remain with the team until at least the end of 2025.
Ahead of the Italian Grand Prix, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner was asked to give his comments on the news.
“I think it’s great that he’s extended,” the Briton said.

“He’s a big name in Formula 1. He’s a global name throughout sports and, obviously, he’s the most successful driver in Formula 1’s history.
“So for him to be extending that relationship, I think, is good news for the sport. It’s always great to race against him.
“He’s fit and motivated,” Horner concluded.
