Christian Horner has no doubt that 2022 title loss “will hurt every single member” of Mercedes, which will “provide motivation” to return to the top.

In 2022, Mercedes did not win the Constructors’ Championship for the first time since 2013.

In an interview with GPFans.com, Red Bull team boss Christian Horner was asked if he thinks this will provide motivation for the German team.

“Absolutely,” Horner said.

“It is the first time they have not taken home a first-place championship bonus in eight years.

“And that will hurt every single member of that team, which will provide motivation.”

On the other hand, Horner said Red Bull’s first constructors’ title win since 2013 will also motivate his team.

“For our guys who have experienced that for the first time in eight years, it gives them that taste and once you have tasted it you don’t want to let go,” the Briton concluded.
