Italian Sky Sports reports that for Adrian Newey “all roads lead to Maranello”, and they reveal his alleged role and start date.

Italian Sky Sports reports that Adrian Newey’s signing with Ferrari is almost a certainty and they reveal additional information on his role and start date.

“The official announcement is missing, but for Adrian Newey all roads lead to Maranello,” wrote Carlo Vanzini.

“In Ferrari he will have the role of super consultant starting from April 2025, with the possibility of working on the new project of the 2026 car and also possibly intervening in the race given that he will arrive when the season has just begun.

“We reiterate, all of this still lacks official status, with a puzzle that now appears more defined regarding the choices of the coveted British designer.”

Vanzini added that in the past Newey declined to go to Ferrari because he did not want to move to Italy.

“In the past, when everything seemed done, Newey decided to go from Williams to McLaren, because the latter was much closer to his home.

“And in fact Woking is geographically the closest team to him, which probably made him waver more in his decision to choose Maranello [at the time].”

However, Vanzini says it’s a different story now, as it appears Newey will finally don the iconic red of Ferrari.

Keep in mind that none of this is official at the moment, and it remains to be seen what Newey’s next move will be.
