Lewis Hamilton is set to start the Sao Paulo Grand Prix from P2, just behind team-mate George Russell. He expects to have “a good fight on our hands”.

After an amazing drive, Lewis Hamilton managed to get from P8 to P3 in the Sao Paulo Grand Prix Sprint Race. Due to Carlos Sainz’s grid penalty, he is expected to start the race from P2.

With George Russell on pole, Lewis expects to have a good fight with Red Bull on Sunday.

“I am so so happy to be here,” Lewis said after the sprint race.

“Difficult day yesterday but what a crowd we’ve had today, starting from 8th and making my way through slowly.

“Congrats to George this is for everyone back at the factory working hard, this is an amazing result. So from there we should be able to work as a team and hold off the guys behind.

“We’re going to try as hard as we can, if we can have some degradation tomorrow and hope for some good weather we will have a good fight on our hands.”

“A win here in Brazil would be incredible,” Hamilton concluded.
