After dominantly winning the Qatar Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton says he feels fitter than ever and ready for the final two races of the season.
After dominantly winning the Qatar Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton closed down the drivers’ championship gap to Max Verstappen to only eight points.
Afterwards, the Briton gave his comments on the race.
“It was pretty straightforward, it was pretty lonely up front,” said Hamilton.
“Of course, I enjoy those races where you are battling through but we needed those points today so I think a real solid job from the team, just with pit stops and the car.
“I can’t wait to watch the replay of the race to see what happened behind me, I am not really sure why people’s tyres were going, I am sure it is the kerbs.

“But I am really grateful for these points, it has been a hell of a year. To be at this point of the year and to have back to back wins is a great feeling and puts us in good stead for the next two.”
Lewis then said he feels ready to tackle the final two races of the season.
“Feeling feels good. I am really really happy with the car. I feel fit, fitter than I have ever felt so that is a positive.
“A big, big thanks to Ang [his assistant and physio Angela Cullen] who has helped me train and recovery has been great.
“Bring on the next two,” concluded the seven-time champion.
