Amid speculation about Lewis Hamilton’s future, Formula 1 featured Lewis’ statements about his karting days in a new video.
The official Formula 1 YouTube channel released a new video with Formula 1 drivers looking back on their karting days.
Karting is usually the first step on a young driver’s single seater journey, so F1 talked to several drivers about what karting meant to them in their careers.
One of the drivers featured is Lewis Hamilton, who has not made any public statements since the controversial ending of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

“I think ultimately the lessons that I learned [are] that you can manifest your dreams,” Lewis said.
“I wanted to race cars and be the best in the world. [I’m] kinda there, so…,” the Briton concluded with a smile.
It’s obvious that the video was filmed earlier in the 2021 season, but it seems that despite the controversy F1 management does not shy away from featuring Lewis in their promo materials.
