At the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix Lewis Hamilton became the second driver in Formula 1 history to lead 5000 laps, behind only Michael Schumacher.

The records for most laps led is still held by Michael Schumacher with 5111 laps in the lead, but Hamilton is now very close with 5021 laps led in his career.

This means Lewis needs only 91 more laps in the lead to surpass Schumacher’s record. With four races to go and more than 200 laps left in the season, there’s a big change Lewis will do it in 2020.
