Lewis Hamilton breaks Michael Schumacher and Alain Prost records

Lewis Hamilton has surpassed two record previously held by Michael Schumacher, and one held by Alain Prost.

Although Mercedes has been struggling in the first part of the 2022 season, Lewis Hamilton is still breaking records.

At the British Grand Prix Lewis has surpassed the record for consecutive seasons in which a driver has led a lap of a Grand Prix. The record was previously held by seven-time champion Michael Schumacher, and the new record is now 15 seasons.

By getting P3 at Silverstone, Lewis has also claimed a new F1 record for most podium finished at a single circuit. He was previously tied with Schumacher, who has 12 wins at Imola, Barcelona and Montreal.

With his 13th win at Silverstone, Lewis has also broken the record for most podium finishes at a home circuit. The record was previously held by four-time champion Alain Prost in France.
