Lewis Hamilton talks about how different his lifestyle has become in 2020, compared to how it was before the COVID-19 pandemic hit.

The schedule of a Formula 1 driver is always packed. Not only are they travelling all the time because of the requirements of the Formula 1 calendar, they are also contractually obligated to do media rounds and sponsorship activities.

On top of all that, Lewis Hamilton has been known to have a lot of projects outside of Formula 1, including his collaboration with Tommy Hilfiger, his activism work and more. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, in 2020 the Briton has had more free time than ever before.

“People have said a lot of things about how I live over the past year,” the Briton told Motorsport-Total.com.

“However, people who see me at home or my family know exactly how I really am. It was very busy and I was travelling all the time.

“I flew from London to New York and from New York to Singapore, where I did my best qualifying round ever and amazed all the critics.

“This year, however, it is different. I’m not being pulled from left to right all the time now.

“I have never been home so much. I’ve been able to spend more time doing the things that I don’t really like, but still need to do.

“It reminds me of the karting days, that I had school during the week and was on the track at the weekend,” concluded Hamilton.
