Lewis Hamilton says he is more prepared than ever as he gets ready to embark on a campaign to win his seventh F1 world title.
The Formula 1 winter break is over and Lewis Hamilton has returned to the Mercedes HQ in Brackley. While preparing for this Friday’s launch and shakedown of Mercedes’ 2020 car – the W11, Lewis took to Instagram to send a message to his fans.
“It’s been an incredible winter,” said the 35-year old.
“I’ve had a lot of time with family and friends and I would say one of the best times has been with my dad.
“Secondly, the training has just been different this year, so the feeling I have physically and mentally is on another level compared to last year. So that’s a real positive.
“I miss your guys support. I know that you are there and I hope that wherever you are that 2020 has started off well for you.
“I know that you guys are all gunning for number seven but I think we’ve just got to take it one step at a time.
“We have no idea where we are going to stand compared to everybody else. So we just need to be more efficient this year in our test programme, particularly as we have less time.
“We still have a lot of work to do,” concluded Hamilton.
