Lewis Hamilton matches Michael Schumacher’s record yet again

Although Lewis Hamilton had to settle for P2 at the Styrian Grand Prix, by doing so he matched another one of Michael Schumacher’s records.

After breaking the most important Formula 1 records previously held by Michael Schumacher – the record for most career wins and most career pole positions, as well as matching Schumacher’s seven world titles record, Lewis has now equaled another record held by the Great German.

Although he is probably not happy about finishing behind Max Verstappen, by doing so Lewis matched Schumacher’s record for most runner-up finishes. Both drivers have now finished on the second step on the podium 43 times in their careers.

There could, of course, have been more P2 finishes in Lewis’ career, if it wasn’t for his nasty habit of, well, winning races 😅

In any case, congratulations Lewis on equaling another all-time record!
