Lewis Hamilton on how he ‘gets the blood going’ in the morning

Lewis Hamilton explains how he prefers to start his day so that he can ‘get the blood going’ and feel energized “through the rest of the day”.

Everybody who has followed Lewis Hamilton knows that he likes to keep in shape. He has spent most of his summer break working on his condition and physical and mental fitness.

In a video for Mercedes’ partner UBS he explained his morning routine.

“Training helps, you know,” Hamilton said.

“Whether it’s going out for a run, whether it’s going out for a long walk, whether it’s, you know, anything that kind of can get your heart elevated and get those positive endorphins released.

“I generally just try to make sure I get my workouts done in the mornings because then, you know, you feel that through the rest of your day and it kind of fuels you through the rest of the day.

“Even if it’s just getting out of bed and just punching out 50 press ups or something, or 20 press ups,”

“Whatever it may be, [it] just gets the blood going.”
