Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas pay tribute to Williams F1 team founder Sir Frank Williams, who passed away today at 79 years old.
Although Lewis Hamilton never had the pleasure of driving one of Sir Frank Williams’ cars, he did get the opportunity to drive the legendary team owner around Silverstone in 2019.
After learning the sad news of Sir Frank’s passing, Lewis posted a heartfelt tribute on social media.
“Sir Frank Williams was one of the kindest people I had the pleasure of meeting in this sport,” Lewis wrote.
“What he achieved is something truly special. Until his last days I know he remained a racer and a fighter at heart.

“Thank you for everything Frank. You will be missed.
“Rest in peace,” concluded the Finn.
