Lewis Hamilton says he’s “been mostly off social media to focus on my health and well being”, but he returned after receiving “the news of the loss of a dear friend”.

Yesterday news came out that legendary rally driver Ken Block died after succumbing to injuries sustained in a tragic snowboarding accident.

Lewis Hamilton, who has been off social media through the holidays, returned to post a tribute to his friend.

“I’ve been mostly off social media to focus on my health and well being,” Lewis wrote on Instagram.

“Today I received the news of the loss of a dear friend. I am devastated to hear of Ken Block’s passing. He was such an amazing person, always lived life to the fullest.

“I remember our first time working together and how positive he was. So much talent behind the wheel. Years ago we had an amazing time held skiing and snowboarding in Canada.
