Lewis Hamilton says “everything has to take a back seat” to his racing career for now, so he doesn’t “have time” for children “at the moment”.

Lewis Hamilton will be 39 years old in January, so in an interview with BLICK he was asked if he is starting to think about having children.

The Briton revealed he does not “have time for that” at the moment.

“Not at the moment,” Lewis said.

“No. I don’t have time for that – I enjoy being an uncle!”

Asked if he doesn’t want to take on that responsibility, he said:

“Exactly, I haven’t decided on this big step yet. I still have goals with the racing car – and everything has to take a back seat.

“I want to do my job 100 percent. Of course, you have to find the necessary balance and compromise with your private life.

“But fortunately that day has not yet come,” Hamilton conclued.
