After taking on his fourth engine at the Turkish Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton said he is not wasting his energy thinking about engines, as it is not his job “to worry about that stuff”.

Ahead of the Turkish Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton has taken on his fourth engine of the season. This means he has also served a ten-place grid penalty, however, this is probably his last engine swap in 2021.

When asked if he’s concerned about Mercedes’ engine situation, Lewis said doesn’t worry about these things.

“I don’t really give any energy to it,” the Briton said.

“It’s not my job to worry about that stuff, so I let the guys focus on that, worry about it. My engine is in good condition.

“My first engine, I think, did six races. We still have engine two, and I think engine three is still there. As far as I’m aware, hopefully I don’t have to [use a fifth engine].

“But I can’t predict what’s up ahead,” concluded the seven-time champion.
