After the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton could be seen struggling to get out of his car due to back pain. Toto Wolff apologized for making him drive a “s***box”.

The Azerbaijan Grand Prix has been very hard for Lewis Hamilton – this time physically. The bouncing that he experienced in the W13 has caused back pain, and he could be seen at the end of the race having trouble getting out of his car. Afterwards he was nursing his back while walking.

During the race Lewis complained to the team saying “my back is killing me”, and after he crossed the finish line, team boss Toto Wolff apologized for the car that Mercedes has provided him with.

“Lewis, we all know this is a bit of a s***box to drive at the moment,” the Austrian said.

“I’m sorry for the back also, we will sort ourselves out,” Wolff concluded.

Although the tone of Lewis’ voice clearly indicated he was very much worn down by the car, he praised the team for getting P3 and P4.

“Well done guys,” Hamilton said.

“Great job with the strategy. Thank you for continuing to push.

“Let’s definitely make some changes,” he concluded.
