Lewis Hamilton says Red Bull is “fully ahead of everyone”, so “it’s going to take some fortune” for Mercedes to be able to finish ahead in the remaining races.

After another win by Max Verstappen at the Italian Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton says there is no stopping Red Bull.

“We have to be realistic, that Red Bull is almost unbeatable,” the Briton said.

“It’s going to take some real doing to beat that car. Performance-wise, they are fully ahead of everyone.”

As for beating Red Bull in a race, before the season is done, Lewis said it’s going to take some luck.

“We have not caught them, we don’t have upgrades coming to overtake them so it’s going to take some fortune going our way.

“It’s not impossible because we could have beaten them maybe in Budapest, but he’s generally chilled at the front so you never know their true pace.

“We’ll see,” Hamilton concluded.
