Former F1 driver Luciano Burti says he believes the championship fight between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen “remains clean”.

Brazilian former Formula 1 driver, and now commentator, Luciano Burti says he believes there has been no dirty tactics or moves in the fight between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.

“Regarding the fight of Hamilton and Verstappen, I think it remains clean, but that’s my opinion,” Burti told Brazilian Motorsport.com.

The former Prost and Jaguar driver says he believes Hamilton is a cleaner driver than his famous predecessors Ayrton Senna and Michael Schumacher.

Both drivers have been involved in their share of controversial on-track moments, and both have been accused on numerous occasions of employing ‘dirty’ tactics on the track.

“By the way I think when you compare Hamilton with other great champions, like Senna and Schumacher, he is the cleanest of these guys.

“If I’m not mistaken, in 2008 he was a bit crazy and did some stupid things, but he never drove anyone off the track,” Burti concluded.
