After the Russian Grand Prix Mercedes beat Ferrari’s record as the longest-running constructors’ championship title-holders in F1 history.

The record was broken the day after the Russian Grand Prix. Mercedes has been holding the championship title for 2,178 days, one day more than Ferrari! The Red team held this honor for their 2,177 days long title-reign that lasted from Suzuka 1999 until Shanghai 2005.

Both teams have won six constructors’ championships, but Mercedes will more than likely beat that record as well in 2020.
