Mercedes says goodbye to their troubled 2022 car that just might be “the most important” car that the team has ever built.
The Mercedes team and their drivers had a lot of problems with their 2022 car – the W13. The problems started during pre-season testing, and things didn’t really improve until well into the second part of the season.
Now, in a year-end social media post, the team says goodbye to the troubled car.
“She retires with 515 points, 17 podiums, six fastest laps, one pole and one win,” Mercedes wrote.
“While the W13 won’t be remembered as the fastest car we’ve ever built, the lessons learnt this year might just make it the most important one,” the team concluded.
