Lewis Hamilton broke two records at the Tuscan Grand Prix, one of those Michal Schumacher’s. Mercedes also breaks one team record!

At the Tuscan Grand Prix Hamilton broke Michael Schumacher’s most Formula 1 career point finishes record by scoring points for the 222nd time (the German has a total of 221 point finishes).

With his 90th career win, the six-time champion needs to climb the top step of the podium just one more time in order to match Schumacher’s 91 wins all-time record.

Hamilton also broke Nick Heidfeld’s most consecutive classified finishes record, with his 42nd consecutive classified finish. Heidfeld held the record of 41 finishes for his run with BMW Sauber between 2007 and 2009.

Mercedes also broke one impressive record. With its 32nd consecutive race where they had led at least one lap, Mercedes broke a record previously held by Williams for their run between 1995 and 1997.

Surely more records will be broken by Hamilton and Mercedes before the history making 2020 season is done! 🙂
