Mercedes donated Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas‘ overalls worn during the 2019 season to be auctioned off for NHS charities.

The gear is being auctioned off at the Bonhams Auctioneers online charity auction and the money will be used to help NHS workers amid the global coronavirus crisis.

Mercedes has been involved in helping mitigate the effects of the crisis for some time now and even participated in the design of the Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) device used to help coronavirus patients.

The team also joined forces with its principle partner INEOS to manufacturer at least 5,000 PPE devices to be shipped to hospitals around the team’s base.
