2021 testing is underway, however Mercedes experienced gearshift issues that delayed their testing schedule. The issue has been solved with less than 45 minutes left in the morning session.
Valtteri Bottas only managed to do an instalation lap before his car started experiencing gearshift issues.
“We have a gearshift problem and are swapping the gearbox to get back out on track, then will diagnose the problem with the original box,” the team announced.
Mercedes has swapped the gearbox and Bottas returned to the track with less than 45 minutes left in the morning session

In other news, Mercedes has finally revealed the floor of the W12, that has remained hidden at the car launch last week. Jonathan Noble of Motorsport.com has the scoop.
