Mercedes says the W14 is “forged from the challenges” of 2022

“Refocused”, “Re-energised” and “Ready” Mercedes says they are “going all in” in 2023, with the W14 which is “builds on the lessons learned from last year.”

While announcing their 2023 car launch, Mercedes highlighted the fact that the W14 is being built using the lessons learned from the troubled W13.

As the team put it, they are “Refocused”, “Re-energised” and “Ready”, while putting the finishing touches on their 2023 car, which is “forged from the challenges of the testing 2022 campaign”.

“The 2023 car builds on the lessons learned from last year, which forced the team to confront and overcome numerous challenges with the W13,” they continued.

“The progress enabled by the efforts and determination of everyone at Brackley and Brixworth helped achieve stronger results from mid-season onwards, culminating in a 1-2 finish at the São Paulo Grand Prix,” the team concluded.

While announcing the W14’s launch on social media, Mercedes wrote: “2023, we’re going all-in.”

Considering how hard the 2022 season was for the team, it is very encouraging to see how motivated the team is to turn things around this year.

The W14 will be unveiled on Wednesday 15 February.
