Throughout the Austrian Grand Prix weekend, Mick Schumacher was involved in several battles with Lewis Hamilton, and he says it provided him with an important lesson.

Mick Schumacher has been involved in several on-track battles with seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton across the Austrian Grand Prix weekend.

The two drivers battled for position in Saturday’s sprint race, as well as Sunday’s main event. In the main race, the German even managed to overtake Lewis, after the Briton caught a snap of oversteer on lap four.

Schumacher says this gave him confidence for the future, as he realized even such accomplished and experienced drivers can make mistakes.

“The main thing I’ve learned is that everyone is human, everybody makes mistakes, and everybody is under pressure,” Mick said.

“Sometimes it gets to a point where they do make mistakes, so that’s important for me to know that.

“And to not be afraid of fighting with anybody out there,” the German concluded.
