Fresh rumours are coming out regarding Red Bull’s rumoured 2021 budget cap breach, saying the team is likely to avoid major punishment.

Last Friday, Auto Motor und Sport and Gazzetta Dello Sport reported that there is talk in the paddock that Red Bull has breached the 2021 budget cap.

The story has since been widely reported across the F1 media, with reports saying that the breach can be classified as ‘material’, which is a harsher offense.

While today the FIA is expected to announce the official results of their assessment of the 2021 financial data submitted by all Formula 1 teams, new rumours have started to come out.

The reports are now saying that Red Bull will not face any major penalty.

According to The Telegraph, Red Bull “may not be found to be in breach at all, or if they are it is thought most likely to be a procedural breach”.

The Daily Mail reports that “the discrepancy could be as little as a million or so, perhaps even less, and is no more than a ‘procedural’ breach”.

“It is understood from various sources that one issue under debate between the FIA and Red Bull concerns keeping on the payroll staff who were signed off work through ill-health,” The Daily Mail added.

It remains to be seen which of the numerous reports and rumours will turn out to be true.
