1992 F1 champion Nigel Mansell says Lewis Hamilton is “one of the greatest ever” and his opportunity to win his eighth title “is almost cemented in place already”.
Ahead of the United States Grand Prix, 1992 Formula 1 champion Nigel Mansell was asked if he thinks Lewis Hamilton can win his eighth world title.
The legendary Briton was quick to say Lewis can definitely do it.
“If Mercedes came up with a car, Lewis can do the job again,” Mansell said.

“And yes, I believe he can win another World Championship. I think Lewis has an opportunity, which is almost cemented in place already.
“In my opinion, that is one of the greatest ever, and I think if you give him another world championship you know, that will set the benchmark so high, it’ll be very, very difficult for anybody to achieve that again.
“So, you know, it’s all open there for the taking,” the Briton concluded.
