Red Bull has denied that their team boss Christian Horner said that Mercedes’ car was illegal, while Toto Wolff responds to potential allegations.

It has been reported that Red Bull team boss Christian Horner told Auto Motor und Sport that his team believes Mercedes’ revolutionary redesign of the W13 “violates the spirit of the regulations”.

However, Red Bull has now denied that any such statement had been made.

”Christian Horner has not given any interviews regarding Mercedes’ car,” the team’s spokesperson said.

“Any quotes being attributed to him this morning are incorrect.”

Before Red Bull came out with this denial, Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff has already given his response to potential allegations.

”How can you know and see after only half an hour that our car is illegal,” the Austrian reportedly told Auto Motor und Sport.

It remains to be seen if this ends here, or if Red Bull will go through with any kind of official protest.
