Former F1 driver Romain Grosjean says Lewis Hamilton has “nothing to prove”, and adds he’s been “driving the hell out of that Mercedes car that wasn’t the fastest one”.

In his YouTube video, Romain Grosjean gave his opinion on Lewis Hamilton as he embarks on the 2022 season.

“Even though he’s not the 2021 world champion, I feel like it was his best year in Formula 1,” the Frenchman said.

“He’s been super strong, he’s been making no mistakes. He’s really been engaged pushing the limits, driving the hell out of that Mercedes car that wasn’t the fastest one.”

Grosjean added he can’t wait to see how Lewis will fight back after his controversial title loss at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.

“I think Lewis wants to really start the season with a win. He’s got nothing to prove, Lewis is one of the biggest drivers in the world in history.

“I can’t wait to see how he fights back,” the French driver concluded.
