Formula 1 managing director, motor sports and technical director Ross Brawn praises Lewis Hamilton for his “impressive effort” after a bout with COVID-19.
In his Formula1.com column Brawn talked about Hamilton’s performance at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, just days after his bout with COVID-19.
“Lewis was a touch under the weather this weekend, but he did everything he could to be fit enough to race this weekend,” said the Briton.

“With the title won, he could easily have taken the race off, as we’ve seen how hard Covid-19 can hit you, but that is not his style.
“Lewis showed his passion for the sport by pushing through when unwell and it was an impressive effort to make the podium,” concluded Brawn.
As former Mercedes team principal Brawn had the opportunity to work with Hamilton in 2013.
