Sergio Perez has been hit with a grid penalty for exceeding track limits, while George Russell receives only a warning for entering the track on foot.

During his final flying lap in the Austrian Grand Prix Qualifying Q2, which allowed him to progress to Q3, Sergio Perez exceeded track limits at Turn 8.

After the session, the Mexican was summoned by the stewards, and they have decided to delete his Q2 final time, and all of his Q3 times, as had he not exceeded track limits he would have never progressed to Q3.

Since Perez qualified in P4, this means George Russell will move up from P5 to P4, while Lewis Hamilton will move up from P10 to P9 for the Sprint race on Saturday.

George Russell was also summoned after Qualifying, for entering the track on foot while he was returning to the pitlane, following his crash into the barrier. However, after looking at the situation, the stewards decided to let him off with only a warning.
