Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff says Romain Grosjean’s Mercedes test, which was promised to the Frenchman back in 2020, “is going to happen for sure”.
After Romain Grosjean terrible fiery crash at the 2020 Bahrain Grand Prix, which turned out to be his last race in Formula 1, Toto Wolff promised the Frenchman that he will provide him with an opportunity to do a test in a Mercedes F1 car.
Due to scheduling issues the test is yet to happen, but Wolff says there’s no doubt that it will go ahead.
“The test is going to happen for sure,” the Austrian said.
“We’ve committed to it. [We are examining] what we can do and what he can do. But that is going to happen.
