Mercedes team boss Toto Wolff gives his final comments on the Dutch Grand Prix, and promises the team will launch a “massive attack” at Monza.

Although Mercedes extended its lead in the Constructors’ Championship at the Dutch Grand Prix, Lewis Hamilton was unsuccessful in his attempt to beat Max Verstappen.

In a post-race video on social media, Toto Wolff gave his closing comments on the weekend.

“An awesome performance of the organisers,” said the Austrian.

“Probably a new benchmark in terms of fan engagement, and the Dutch fans were also great. They were totally respectful and sportsmanlike.

“For us it wasn’t the best day, I must say, we lost a lot of track time on Friday with Lewis, so he wasn’t really able to settle in properly.

“We could have had a pole position, and usually that is half the work for a race win. We had a sniff of a chance to win, but we didn’t quite anticipate things like they could have been.

“But that’s ok, because it’s so difficult to fight with [your] car in second place.

“So, overall, let’s go to Monza, massive attack and fightback there,” concluded Wolff.
